Having a PCP has its benefits
It’s always a good idea to have a Primary Care Physician (PCP). In some plans, you’re required to have the name of your PCP on file with us. If you don’t, we’ll select one for you.
By choosing a PCP, you'll have:
- One doctor directing your care
- A doctor that has a deeper understanding of your health care needs
- Better coordinated care with specialists
Let us know your choice of PCP
It’s important that you tell us who your PCP is. You can select or change your PCP online. Or you can call us at the number on your ID card. You may need to choose your PCP from your plan’s network.
We update our provider information six days a week. It may change without notice.
Participating doctors, hospitals and other health care providers are independent contractors. They're neither agents nor employees of Aetna. The availability of any particular provider can't be guaranteed. Provider network make-up is subject to change.
Aetna Medicare is a PDP, HMO, PPO plan with a Medicare contract. Our SNPs also have contracts with State Medicaid programs. Enrollment in our plans depends on contract renewal.
