Aetna Medicare Advantage Plans
The government pays private companies like Aetna to provide you with the same or even more benefits than Original Medicare (Part A and Part B), including affordable copay and coinsurance amounts when you use network doctors and hospitals. These are known as Medicare Advantage plans. You can choose Aetna Medicare Advantage plans with two types of coverage for a low, or no, monthly plan premium in addition to your Medicare Part B premium:
- Aetna Medicare Advantage Plans cover Medicare Part A and B benefits (hospital and medical insurance) and more, including vision and/or hearing
- Aetna Medicare Advantage Plans with Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage (MAPD) cover Medicare Part A and B benefits (hospitals and medical services) and more, including Part D prescription medications - in one convenient plan, with one ID card. For information about our Aetna Medicare prescription drug plan quality assurance procedures (such as quantity limits and medication therapy management), please refer to our Find Prescriptions page.
Aetna Medicare has over 225,000 physicians and over 1,700 hospitals in its network. Refer to our provider directory PDFs or use DocFind to see if your doctors, pharmacies and hospitals are in our network.
