Aetna Medicare Advantage Plans
The government pays private companies like Aetna to provide you with the same or even better benefits than Original Medicare (Part A and Part B), including affordable copay and coinsurance amounts when you use network doctors and hospitals. These are known as Medicare Advantage plans. You can choose Aetna Medicare Advantage plans with two types of coverage for a low, or no, monthly plan premium in addition to your Medicare Part B premium:
- Aetna Medicare Advantage Plans cover Medicare Part A and B benefits (hospital and medical insurance) and more, including vision and/or hearing
- Aetna Medicare Advantage Plans with Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage (MAPD) cover Medicare Part A and B benefits (hospitals and medical services) and more, including Part D prescription medications - in one convenient plan, with one ID card.

Aetna contracts with CMS on an annual basis. Coverage is provided through a Medicare Advantage organization with a Medicare contract. Benefits, limitations, service areas and premiums are subject to change on January 1 of each year.
