How flu shots are covered
Flu shots are covered under Medicare Part B (medical) coverage. When you get a flu shot, show your ID card for medical coverage. Prescription drug plans (PDPs) don't cover flu shots.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends everyone 6 months and older get the flu shot.
