Steps to find all contracted providers in your area – Coming soon!
Please use this tool to look up your doctors and verify that they’re in Aetna’s network of more than 1.3 million providers.
Don’t see your doctor listed?
If you're browsing through our network and can't seem to find your trusted doctor, don't worry! We understand the importance of maintaining continuity of care with your preferred physician, and that’s why your union insisted that this plan be a PPO, which means you can continue to see your trusted doctors even if they are out-of-network. If your doctor accepts Medicare, they can bill Aetna for covered services.
If you don’t see your doctor or provider listed, please let us know. Aetna representatives will reach out to their office, and we'll do everything we can to bring them on board.

Hello and welcome. I’m so glad you’re here!
I’m Mary and I’m going to demonstrate how to determine if your doctor or facility is the Aetna network.
We’ll start here. This is the page we created for you and the other City of New York retirees.
On this site you'll find information about the City of New York Aetna Medicare Advantage PPO plan.
Now, let's get started.
There are two spots on this page that take you to the provider search.
Let’s click this link, Find a doctor or hospital.
A quick and easy way to begin this search is to Continue as guest on the right side of the screen.
Here's an example. I put in my location first — either zip code, city, county, or state.
I’ll use my zip code, 10314. The website recognizes what I’m typing and offers options in the drop-down box. I'll select the one that applies to me.
My provider is close by, so I'll move this slider to search within 3 miles of my location.
Press search here.
Now that I've specified my location, I can search for the provider or facility by name here.
There's also an option on this page to search by category such as medical doctor and specialist, hospital, urgent care, walk-in, pharmacy and more. This is really useful if you're looking for a new in-network provider or facility. When you click on these boxes, you’ll be guided to a list of in-network providers and facilities that are within the location and proximity specified on the previous screen.
Right now, I’ll search by my doctor’s name to see if he is in network and press enter on the keyboard.
My results show a green check mark beneath the provider’s name, confirming he is in network. And in network at the facility listed here.
Thanks for following along.
If you are still wondering if your provider is in network, feel free to call us at 1-855-648-0389 (TTY: 711), Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 9 PM ET. Any of my colleagues would be happy to assist you.
The formulary, provider and/or pharmacy network may change at any time. You will receive notice when necessary. Participating physicians, hospitals and other health care providers are independent contractors and are neither agents nor employees of Aetna. The availability of any particular provider cannot be guaranteed, and provider network composition is subject to change.
