Group Plans

I receive my health benefits from my employer.
Is there a plan I can join when I am eligible for Medicare?

You may be able to get Aetna Medicare plans through your employer or union.

Aetna Medicare offers several group plan options for plan sponsors who wish to offer Medicare Advantage plans to their retirees age 65 and over. To see what may be available and if you qualify, check with your employer or union. You may be eligible for different types of coverage.

Here is detailed information about the plans:

  • Aetna Medicare Advantage (MA) plans
    • These plans cover the same type of services as Original Medicare (Parts A and B), and may give you additional benefits such as vision, hearing, and preventive and/or wellness coverage.
    • We also offer Medicare Advantage Plans with prescription drug coverage (MAPD) that give you all your coverage in one plan, with one monthly plan premium and one ID card.
  • Aetna Medicare RxSM plans
    • These plans offer stand-alone prescription drug coverage that can be added to your Original Medicare (Parts A and B) coverage or may be added to a Medicare Advantage HMO, PPO or PFFS plan.
